The Green Bay Packers claimed cornerback Trevon Diggs off of waivers from the Dallas Cowboys on Wednesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Diggs, a two-time Pro Bowler, was waived by the Cowboys in a surprise move on Tuesday. The Packers, in need of help at cornerback entering the postseason, pounced on the waiver wire.

The Packers have an open spot on the 53-man roster and will not need to make a corresponding move when Diggs is officially added to the roster, pending a physical, on Thursday.
The timing was fortunate for the Packers, who placed Kamal Hadden on injured reserve on Tuesday and are expecting to be without Nate Hobbs for the rest of the season. Both were injured during the Packers' loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 17. Diggs will join a cornerback group that includes Keisean Nixon and Carrington Valentine, who have both struggled down the stretch of the 2025 season.
While Diggs is a big name, his performance as a big-play cover corner has fallen off sharply.
Since intercepting 17 passes during his first three NFL seasons, including an NFL-high 11 in 2021, Diggs has played in only 21 games and has just three interceptions over the last three seasons. This season, opposing quarterbacks have a perfect 158.3 passer rating when targeting Diggs, who has allowed three touchdown passes while defending zero passes.

By claiming Diggs, the Packers will take on his contract, which will include a payment of $472K in base salary and another $58K if he is active for the Packers in the regular season finale against the Minnesota Vikings.
Diggs and Packers defensive end Micah Parsons are close friends. Parsons, who is recovering from ACL surgery, sounds pleased with the reunion in Green Bay.
Packers Wire's Mark Oldacres dug into the pros and cons of adding Diggs in a post for Wednesday afternoon. The Packers are hoping a change of scenery will revive the career of a talented player who hasn't been the same since a major injury.
