The Oklahoma Sooners are looking to the transfer portal to retool their defensive line. They've already issued an offer to Arkansas State defensive tackle Cody Sigler and are now pursuing a former high school recruiting target.
Owen Wafle, who signed with Michigan out of high school before transferring to Penn State for 2025, has reportedly earned an Oklahoma offer, according to Steve Wiltfong of On3. Oklahoma developed a strong relationship with the New Jersey native before he pledged to the Wolverines and appears to be a player they're still interested in.

Wafle didn't play for Michigan in 2024 and played in nine games for Penn State as a redshirt freshman in 2025. He recorded four tackles and six total pressures on 103 snaps for the Nittany Lions. He also intercepted a two-point conversion try against Oregon.
Oklahoma has Jayden Jackson and David Stone returning in 2026 and good young depth behind them. However, they're losing Damonic Williams and Gracen Halton out of their defensive line rotation. Wafle would be able to come in and compete for snaps inside in Brent Venables defense.
