Room was made higher in the poll after Maryland fell in its Big Ten opener and dropped from seventh to eighth. Michigan lost to Washington, knocking the Wolverines down from sixth to ninth. LSU lost to Vanderbilt, sending the Tigers from seventh to 12th. And Texas Christian lost to Utah, dropping the Horned Frogs from a tie for 8th with Oklahoma into 13th.

The top four teams in the poll did not change as Connecticut and Texas held the top two spots as undefeated teams, alongside the Commodores, with South Carolina and UCLA at No. 3 and No. 4.

Oklahoma hosts No. 18 Ole Miss on Thursday at Lloyd Noble Center and travels to Lexington to play No. 6 Kentucky on Sunday.
