As Iowa football continues to search for players in the transfer portal, former Ohio State defensive back Cody Haddad is visiting Iowa City on Monday and has visits lined up to several other top-tier programs.
247Sports' Allen Trieu reported that Haddad was in Iowa City on Monday. ESPN's Max Olson had previously reported that Haddad was in the process of setting up a visit to Iowa and to Tennessee, Nebraska and Texas A&M.

The 5-foot-11, 186-pounder was a three-star prospect from St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio, when he signed with the Buckeyes in the 2025 class. Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Haddad was ranked as the No. 523 overall recruit, as the No. 45 safety and as the No. 19 player from Ohio in the 2025 class.
During his high school recruitment, Iowa offered on Jan. 20, 2024.
With Ohio State's defensive backfield loaded with talent this past season, Haddad never played a snap as a true freshman, utilizing his redshirt year. Haddad entered the transfer portal on Jan. 16.
Given Kirk Ferentz and Iowa defensive coordinator Phil Parker's proven reputation for turning overlooked players into all-conference and All-American-caliber stars, the Hawkeyes hope they can do just that if they can beat out the stiff competition for Haddad.
