Leon scored 13 goals and provided 11 assists in 48 matches across all competitions for Independiente in 2025.

The 25-year-old striker joins a Sundowns team spoilt for choice in attack, with the likes of Iqraam Rayners, Peter Shalulile and Arthur Sales, among others.

Leon could make his Downs debut when Miguel Cardoso's side takes on Orbit College on 20 January after the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco (AFCON).
