NY Giants 2026 opponents revealed for next NFL season: Who they'll play

EAST RUTHERFORD - Sometimes the "who" doesn't matter nearly as much as the "when."

As much as we want to judge the strength of schedule through the lens of this season, the opponents do change from year to year. That won't stop any of us from making projections based on what we think we know.

And man, the Giants certainly had a doozy of a slate this past season.

Not as daunting on paper for next season, however.

We could get three battles between 2025 rookie quarterbacks, including trips for Cam Ward and the Tennessee Titans and Shedeur Sanders and the Cleveland Browns coming to MetLife Stadium, plus a possible showdown against Tyler Shough if the New Orleans Saints finish in last place.

Six playoff teams from this season on the schedule are on the docket, compared to eight this year.

Fourteen of the 17 games were set in stone based on the NFL’s schedule formula, while three others were determined by respective placement in previously selected divisions.

In addition to the home-and-home series the Giants play against the Cowboys, Eagles and Commanders within the division, they are also playing all four teams from the NFC West and the AFC South, plus the last place team from the NFC South and the NFC North.

And with the 17-game schedule, there is one extra game at home against an AFC team, also matched up by divisional finish and next year, that team will be from the AFC North.

The Giants are also believed to be in strong consideration to host their ninth home game in Germany next season.
