Northwest District Hoop Shoot winners announced

LIMA — Results from the Northwest Ohio Elks District Hoop Shoot contest at The Ohio State University-Lima campus Sunday are as follows:

Girls age 8-9: Meredith Mizla, Port Clinton Elks Lodge No. 1718, with a score of 9 out of 25

Girls ages 10-11: Lucy Kuhn, Findlay Elks Lodge No. 75, with a score of 16 out of 25

Girls ages 12-13: Stella Sheeley, Mercer County Elks Lodge No. 2170, with a score of 17 out of 25 and five out of five

Boys ages 8-9: Calvin Homan, Mercer County, with a score of 21 out of 25

Boys ages 10-11: Brody Howe, Lima Elks Lodge No. 54, with a score of 23 out of 25

Boys ages 12-13: Blake Garrison, Mercer County, with a score of 20 out of 25.

District winners will advance to the state hoop shoot contest Saturday, Feb. 21 in Newark.
