Noah Whittington listed as questionable on Ducks' latest injury report

Just when it looked like it couldn't get any worse for the Oregon Ducks at the running back position, it appears that there's a possibility that it certainly could.

With the latest release of the Ducks' injury report on Thursday night, less than 24 hours before kickoff against the No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers in the College Football Playoff Semifinals, starting running back Noah Whittington has popped up with a "questionable" designation. The exact injury is unclear.

Whittington was believed to be one of three available and healthy scholarship running backs with the Ducks, alongside true freshman Dierre Hill Jr. and redshirt junior Jay Harris, who is with the team despite officially entering the transfer portal.

The sixth-year senior Whittington is Oregon's leading rusher this season, having turned 129 carries into 829 yards and six touchdowns.

True freshman running back Jordon Davison, who was listed as "out" on the first injury report released on Tuesday, is still listed as out. He's joined on that list by a number of players reportedly in the transfer portal and wide receiver Evan Stewart, who warmed up in Oregon's CFP first-round game but has not played all season.
