The No. 2 Texas Longhorns (17-0) are set to host the Auburn Tigers (11-5) at the Moody Center on Thursday.

Head Coach Vic Schaefer and the Longhorns look to remain one of the only four teams left undefeated in the NCAA, along with No. 1 Connecticut (15-0), No. 7 Vanderbilt (15-0), and No. 17 Texas Tech (16-0). This is just the third meeting between Texas and Auburn with the first meeting in the 1999 NCAA Tournament, won by the Tigers, 69-61, in the first round. The two met for the first time as conference foes last season in Auburn with No. 7 Texas winning, 74-57.

Auburn ranks ninth in the SEC and 34th nationally in scoring defense, allowing just 56.3 points per game holding all 16 of the opponents under their season scoring average. True freshman guard Harissoum Coulibaly leads the Tigers, averaging 11.1 points per game while hitting 53.3 percent from the field, and averaging 3.1 rebounds. Senior guard Mya Petticord averages 10.1 points per game with 2.1 rebounds. Redshirt junior Kaitlyn Duhon aids the Tigers averaging 9.8 points per game, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.7 steals, along with sophomore forward Khady Leye nabbing 9.4 points per game with 5.4 rebounds. Tigers junior guard Ja’Mia Harris lends a hand with 27 assists with the senior guard A’riel Jackson leading Auburn with 30 assists and shooting 42.2 percent from the field.

Schaefer and the No. 2 Texas Longhorns have Madison Booker at the helm averaging 7.4 boards per game with 19.1 points per game and hitting .520 from the field. The junior forward is the fifth Longhorn to record a triple double and has 12 double doubles on the 2025-26 season while guard Rori Harmon is tied for second on the Longhorns all-time list for career steals.

Harmon has 332 steals and is 15 away from breaking the Texas record of 346, and all the while the all-time career assist leader, has recorded 72 assists to eight turnovers over her last eight games. As the 2025-26 season progresses Harmon has 130 assists and 24 turnovers, leading the country in assist-to-turnover ratio.

The Longhorns have outscored their opponents 284-67 in point off turnovers over the last nine games and taking care of the ball as they are second in the country in fewest turnovers committed at 10.0 per game.

Center Kyla Oldacre holds the paint down averaging 6.1 boards with 18 blocks while shooting 65.5 percent from the field. Sophomore guard Jordan Lee is shooting over 39 percent from beyond the arc averaging 15.6 points per game alongside the junior forward Breya Cunningham hitting 60.7 percent from the field. True freshman guard Aaliyah Crump is averaging 13.2 points per game along with a deep bench that includes seniors Sarah Graves and Teya Sidberry.
