NFL mock draft 2026 from USA TODAY has Cardinals reaching for QB

It feels like the Arizona Cardinals could go in any number of directions with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft -- offensive line, defense, etc.

But if Kyler Murray is done in the desert -- and we're not sure that's really the case as of right now -- would the Cardinals go for a quarterback in the draft?

In our latest mock draft from Christian D'Andrea before the draft order was set, he had Oregon QB Dante Moore to the Cards. So it's not wild to think about at No. 3. In the latest USA TODAY Sports mock draft, Ayrton Ostly has Arizona taking... QB Ty Simpson from Alabama, a quarterback that many have in their first-round mocks thus far but maybe not that high.

This is likely a reach but Simpson could break into the top three if the new coaching staff opts to move on from Kyler Murray. Simpson, like Moore, has just one year of starting experience in college. He showed impressive flashes throughout that one season, though, with ideal accuracy, pocket presence, timing and good mobility.
