The New York Giants have arranged a head coaching interview next week with former Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
McCarthy, who won Super Bowl XLV with the Green Bay Packers and has a proven track record of success with quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers and Dak Prescott, became a top candidate the moment the Giants' job became available. His experience in building consistent winners stands out in a crowded field.

The move comes as general manager Joe Schoen leads a wide-ranging search following Brian Daboll's mid-season firing after his 5-22 record over the past two years. Ownership seeks a coach with a clear plan for rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, whom McCarthy recently praised for his running ability while stressing the need for better self-protection.
Other expected interviewees include former Raiders coach and ex-Giant Antonio Pierce, along with defensive coordinators like Chris Shula, Jesse Minter, and Vance Joseph.
The Giants will also interview Kevin Stefanski and John Harbaugh. The process remains open-ended, with no preference for offensive or defensive minds.
Bringing in McCarthy could provide stability and offensive expertise, despite the heated NFC East rivalry.
