The New York Giants completed their head coaching interview with former Cleveland Browns coach Kevin Stefanski on Wednesday, marking the first formal sit-down in their search for Brian Daboll's permanent replacement.
Stefanski, 43, arrived in the New York area on Tuesday night, had dinner with team executives, and then met with general manager Joe Schoen and other front-office executives on Wednesday.

The two-time NFL Coach of the Year (2020, 2023) was fired by the Browns on Monday after a 5-12 season, finishing his six-year tenure with a 45-56 record that included two playoff appearances and a postseason victory.
The Giants, who finished 3-14 in 2025 and fired Daboll in November, are one of several teams pursuing Stefanski, along with the Atlanta Falcons and Tennessee Titans.
He remains a strong candidate in New York, where quarterback Jameis Winston -- who played under Stefanski in Cleveland in 2024 -- praised him as a "brilliant offensive mind" and "great leader" who could provide needed structure for the Giants' young roster.
Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, who met Stefanski during the pre-draft process, also spoke positively, calling him "a really good coach" with strong offensive credentials.

While John Harbaugh has been discussed internally as a top target after he departed from Baltimore, Stefanski's interview positions him prominently in the process.
