Nebraska remains perfect following 86-55 victory over New Hampshire

No. 13 Nebraska men's basketball (13-0) concluded its nonconference in a Tuesday night showdown against New Hampshire. The Huskers grabbed another major win, blowing out the Wildcats 86-55, backed by a second-half surge.

Nebraska entered halftime leading New Hampshire 41-38 after the Wildcats went 14-of-30 in the first 20 minutes. The Huskers locked in on defense in the second half and kept their foot on the gas offensively. New Hampshire shot 4-of-26 in the second, allowing for Nebraska to outscore it 45-17 in the stretch.

Nebraska finished 27-of-59 on the night and also struck at the free throw line, hitting 27-of-35 in the win. The Huskers finished strong in the paint as well, tallying 42 points in the paint and outrebounding the Wildcats 44-33.

Pryce Sandfort finished atop the scoresheet for Nebraska, shooting 7-of-15 from the floor, 3-of-8 from beyond the arc and 2-of-5 from the foul line. Sandfort also hauled in seven rebounds, alongside Rienk Mast, who also posted 10 points and five assists.

Sam Hoiberg led the Huskers in rebounds, snatching 10 to pair up with his eight points on the night. Braden Frager scored 15 in the win, hitting 4-of-6 from the floor and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line. Berke Büyüktuncel tallied 14 points to round out Nebraska's top scorers, going 4-of-7 from the floor and 5-of-5 from the foul line.

The Huskers now go full swing into conference play, starting with a Friday night top 25 matchup against No. 9 Michigan State. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. CT on Peacock.
