Nebraska hosting Big 12 offensive lineman

5 days ago 2

Nebraska football will be hosting a big-time offensive lineman over the weekend, as Iowa State transfer offensive Brendan Black has locked in a visit with the Huskers. This was reported by Hayes Fawcett earlier this week.

Black was a three-year starter for Iowa State. He made 10 starts for the Cyclones at right guard this past season. He played in all 14 games in 2024, making 13 starts at right guard, and appeared in 10 games in 2023, starting seven at right guard.

Black measures in at six-foot-four, 320 pounds. Will have one year of eligibility remaining at his new school.

The Huskers will look to establish an identity on the offensive line under new coach Geep Wade.  Black certainly has the size and ability to make an impact on the program's offensive line right away. This visit will be worth monitoring.
