Nate Frazier stats vs Ole Miss: Georgia RB leads UGA rushing effort

NEW ORLEANS — Georgia sophomore running back Nate Frazier is leading Georgia's rushing charge vs Ole Miss.

The SEC Coaches All-SEC Third Team recipient has 8 carries for 56 yards — his longest rush 16 yards — to help the Bulldogs lead 21-12 at the half against the Rebels in the Sugar Bowl. He has more than half of the team's total rushing yardage at the midway point of the College Football Playoff quarterfinal.

Georgia has 85 rushing yards in the first half, while Ole Miss has 74.

This season, Frazier, a Compton, Calif., native recorded 158 carries for 861 yards and 6 touchdowns, showing out for a little more distance but fewer points than he did his freshman season, when he recorded 133 carries for 671 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Frazier has tallied a pair of 100-plus-yard games this season with 181 rushing yards and a touchdown vs. Mississippi State and 108 yards against Georgia Tech.

The first time the Bulldogs and Rebels met back on Oct. 18, Ole Miss held Frazier to 72 yards, no touchdowns and a long of 8 yards.
