Nashville SC bolstered its depth shortly after making its biggest splash of MLS free agency.
Nashville announced a pair of signings, midfielder Shakur Mohammed and defender Isaiah LeFlore, on Jan. 7. The news comes on the heels of the club's acquisition of forward Cristian Espinoza, widely considered the top attacker on the market this offseason.

Mohammed, 22, was chosen by Orlando City with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft out of Duke. He mostly played for Orlando's reserve team, scoring 28 goals in 79 games in MLS Next Pro, and made five appearances for the first team. Mohammed, who can play attacking midfield and forward, is the second former Orlando player Nashville has added this winter, following defender Thomas Williams.

The 23-year-old LeFlore spent the 2025 season on loan with Detroit City FC in the USL Championship. He has also appeared for the reserve sides of Sporting Kansas City, Houston Dynamo, Philadelphia Union and Portuguese club Braga.
LeFlore directly addresses one of Nashville's biggest needs as a backup for veteran fullback Daniel Lovitz, who is going into his 13th MLS season and seventh with Nashville. The team moved on from most of its other bench options at the position, while mainstay Taylor Washington retired from soccer.

"Shak is a talented attacking player who has been a bright prospect in college and in MLS NEX Pro, and we are excited to see him continue to grow into his potential with us here in Nashville," Nashville SC president of soccer operations and general manager Mike Jacobs said in a release. "Isaiah is a talented young left back who has gained some valuable experiences domestically and abroad, and we are excited to add him to our club."
