Vaught's commitment to Michigan State comes following his visit this weekend.

Vaught played three seasons for Maine at the FCS level, with some impressive numbers in his two most recent seasons. He recorded 60 tackles, three interceptions (one returned for a touchdown) and five passes defended. In 2024, he had 43 tackles and three interceptions (two returned for touchdowns). In 2023, he only appeared in three games and redshirted.

Vaught is listed as a three-star transfer portal prospect on 247Sports. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Vaught is part of a flurry of transfer portal prospects to commit to Michigan State on Sunday. He is the second player part of the secondary, joining Houston Christian cornerback Tyran Chappell who committed to the Spartans earlier in the day.
