Michigan State basketball bounced back in a big way on Monday night.

The Spartans dominated USC for a convincing rebound win after a tough showing at Nebraska last time out. The Spartans led for nearly the whole game, never letting the Trojans cut the Spartans lead within double-digits in the second half en route to a 80-51 win.

Michigan State used a smothering defensive effort in the first half to build up a double-digit lead over the Trojans at the break. The Spartans were able to hold USC to under 20 points in the opening frame, leading 33-17 at halftime.

Michigan State was able to build off their first half lead and have a firm hold on this game throughout the second half. The Spartans' lead never got within 15 points during the second half as they ran away to an impressive victory over the Trojans.

Michigan State was led in scoring by Coen Carr with 18 points. Jaxon Kohler was right behind him with 16 points and then Jeremy Fears Jr. with 15 points.

With the victory, Michigan State improves to 13-2 overall on the year. The Spartans are 3-1 in Big Ten play and own victories over a pair of dominant double-digit wins over two of the few Big Ten teams that have been ranked this season (Iowa and USC).
