Who it’s for: Golfers looking for a reliable long-iron replacement that delivers easy launch, consistent ball speed, and clean turf interaction without straying too far from a traditional iron-like profile.
What you should know: The JPX ONE hybrids carry the same performance DNA as Mizuno’s newest metalwoods, focusing on speed retention and playability from a compact, confidence-inspiring shape.
The Deep Dive: Hybrids have a lot of demands placed on them. They need to create enough ball speed and distance to replace a long iron, launch shots high enough to hold greens, and be versatile enough to handle a wide variety of lies. With the JPX ONE hybrids, Mizuno thinks it has offerings that tick all those boxes.

The JPX ONE head design starts with a Waffle Crown structure, which blends thick and thin areas to reduce weight on the top of the head without sacrificing strength. It naturally helps to lower the center of gravity (CG) location, which encourages a higher launch angle, and it improves face stability.

Enhanced ball speed comes from a 1.8-millimeter MAS1C steel face paired with Mizuno’s CORTECH Chamber. Positioned behind the leading edge in the sole, the slot contains a steel weight that is encased in thermoplastic polyurethane. It soaks up excessive vibrations created at impact to improve sound and feel, but also helps the face flex more efficiently at impact, especially on low-struck shots. Combined with the Speed Bevel sole, the design is intended to produce cleaner contact and more consistent results from fairway lies, rough, and uneven turf.
Available in lofts of 19, 22, 25, and 28 degrees, the JPX ONE hybrids are designed to blend seamlessly between fairway woods and irons and allow players and fitters to find clubs that fill distance gaps easily.
