The Tigers are up to 10 transfer commitments, and an experienced offensive tackle from the Power-conference level has taken them into double-digits.
Missouri football secured a commitment from Arizona State transfer offensive tackle Josh Atkins on Thursday, according to multiple reports Thursday. The news was first reported by Hayes Fawcett at On3.

Atkins started 12 games for the Sun Devils at left tackle in the 2025 season, playing 752 snaps and allowing 18 QB pressures and three sacks, according to PFF. He also started in all 14 of Arizona State’s games in the 2024 season as the Sun Devils reached the College Football Playoff.
He was previously coached by Mizzou offensive line coach Brandon Jones at Houston, where Atkins committed as a three-star prospect in the Class of 2021. He spent two seasons with the Cougars but did not play. He transferred to Hawai’i in 2023 and was its starting left tackle.
Atkins has played more than 2,000 snaps in his college career.
Missouri needed an offensive tackle in this window, but Atkins’ primary position raises an interesting question.

Atkins, who is listed at 6 foot 4 and 310 pounds, has never played anywhere except left tackle in his career.
Mizzou is set to lose starting right tackle Keagen Trost to eligibility, but the Tigers are expected to return 2025 starting left tackle Cayden Green in the 2026 season.
Arizona State offensive lineman Josh Atkins (65) practices on Aug. 1, 2024, at Kajikawa Practice Fields in Tempe.
The Tigers may shift Atkins to right tackle.
There is also the possibility that Green moves back inside to left guard, where he was a starter for Mizzou in 2024, which would allow Atkins to play what is seemingly his most natural position on the outside.
Missouri does need a right tackle, especially because of who the Tigers are bringing in at quarterback.

Ole Miss transfer Austin Simmons is left-handed, meaning his blindside blocked will be the right tackle. That makes it perhaps the most-important position on Mizzou’s offensive line, if Simmons does indeed go on to take the starting job.
Missouri has now added 10 players out of the transfer, all of whom have committed to the Tigers since Monday.
The portal opened Jan. 2 and will remain open for new entries through Jan. 16.
