Michigan State football has a major need at almost every defensive position, needing to fill out the roster in a big way. As the transfer window has opened, the Spartans are adding a plethora of visitors to the ledger. The latest visitor comes in the trenches.
MJ Stroud, a 6-foot-2 and 235 pound edge rusher is moving on from Georgia Southern and will be visiting Michigan State, along with West Virginia and Colorado. His visit to MSU will be on Jan. 9, while he will be at WVU on Jan. 3 and Colorado on Jan. 6.

A Covington (GA) native, Stroud has spent all four of his college seasons at Georgia Southern. In his career, he has played in 43 games, accumulating 75 tackles, 17.0 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. His breakout season in 2025 featured 15.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks, including a first-team All-Sun Belt selection.
According to PFF, he graded as a 73.7 overall defensive player, while being a 78.7 pass rusher.
