Michigan State OL transfer schedules New Mexico visit

Michigan State football lost offensive lineman Payton Stewart to the transfer portal after his second season in East Lansing. The 6-foot-7 offensive tackle spent two years in East Lansing after flipping his commitment from Oregon State to Michigan State. Now, moving on from Michigan State, the Kelso, Washington native is eyeing a return to the west coast.

So far, Stewart has received offers from Colorado State and New Mexico, and has announced that he will be visiting the Lobos on Jan. 6.

New Mexico will be heading into their second season under Jason Eck, winning nine games in his first in Albuquerque. Stewart has yet to see the field in his collegiate career.
