Michigan football hasn’t had an exodus from the program, even though there has been a ton of turmoil in Ann Arbor. Yet, initially there have been few players to enter the transfer portal.
But now that the season is over and the portal is open, more are starting to explore their option.

Cornerback Elijah Dotson and linebacker Cole Sullivan made surprise announcements they’re entering the portal after it had opened (though Sullivan says he’s open to returning to Ann Arbor), and another is following suit.
According to 247Sports’ Allen Trieu, junior wide receiver Semaj Morgan is entering the portal with one season left of eligibility.
Morgan has spent two seasons as a starting slot receiver but this season, while often open, he struggled finishing catches, accounting for a team high in drops. Additionally, as a punt returner, despite an electric return as a freshman in the Big Ten Championship Game, he’s also had quite a few difficulties.

With a new head coach in Kyle Whittingham, it’s unclear beyond retaining the wideouts currently on campus which portal receivers may be targeted.
