Why did the Dolphins sign QB Cam Miller?

The Dolphins have added rookie quarterback Cam Miller to the active roster.

Miller was a rookie 6th round pick of the Las Vegas Raiders.

"I enjoyed watching how competitive he played the position," McDaniel said of Miller. "Super tough in the pocket and field vision down the field."

Troy Aikman as Miami Dolphins consultant

McDaniel says he has had conversations with ownership and was aware of the Aikman consulting role.

McDaniel said: "Troy Aikman speaks for itself in terms of the relationships in the National Football League."

McDaniel said Aikman's knowledge and input are valued.
