Former Tennessee redshirt sophomore kicker Max Gilbert will transfer to Arkansas, according to Pete Nakos of On3.
The former Vol announced his intention to transfer from Tennessee following the 2025 football season with two years of eligibility remaining.

"After long and thoughtful conversations with my friends and family, I have decided to enter my name into the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining," Gilbert announced. "This was a very difficult decision. I will never forget my time spent on Rocky Top and will forever cherish the moments I spent at the University of Tennessee."
The 6-foot, 200-pound kicker appeared in 26 games for the Vols from 2023-25. He converted 34-of-45 field goal attempts and 118-of-118 extra point attempts. Gilbert converted 14-of-19 field goal attempts in 2025.
The NCAA transfer portal opened Jan. 2 and will close on Jan. 16.
Tennessee will play at Arkansas on Oct. 10 during the 2026 football season.
