The Champions League is the top prize for Europe’s teams, and it is something that has eluded Bayern Munich for almost six years. Their form this season in the Champions League is unprecedented compared to previous years, and Manuel Neuer says it’s something to build from.
“We’re only playing one competition internationally at the moment and we want to go as far as possible in that,” Neuer said (as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia). “We know that it’ll be a long and difficult road with tough competition, but I think people have taken notice of us in the Champions League campaign so far and we need to keep working on this.”

Bayern’s European record this season reads five wins and just one loss in six, which is nothing to scoff at. Granted, winning the UCL isn’t purely based on skill; a bit of luck will also go a long way.
