LSU lineman transfers to Tennessee football

The NCAA transfer portal opened Jan. 2 and will close Jan. 16. Former LSU offensive lineman Ory Williams committed to the Vols on Tuesday.

He appeared in 13 games, including two starts, for the Tigers from 2024-25. The 6-foot-8, 335-pound redshirt freshman's two starts were against Arkansas and Western Kentucky in 2025.

Williams earned a redshirt as a freshman in 2024. He appeared in one contest during the 2024 season, playing one snap at Arkansas.

Williams went to LSU from San Marcos High School in San Marcos, Texas. He did not receive a scholarship offer from the Vols during his high school recruitment. Williams also played basketball at San Marcos.

He committed to LSU on July 30, 2023. Williams will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Williams commits to the Vols ahead of Josh Heupel's sixth season as Tennessee's head coach.
