LSU football and Lane Kiffin continue to go to work in the transfer portal. On Wednesday, LSU added a key piece to its special teams unit, picking up a commitment from Arkansas kicker Scott Starzyk. Kicker was a need for LSU with Damian Ramos off to the next level and Aeron Burrell entering the transfer portal.
The news was reported by Matt Moscona on Wednesday evening.

Starzyk was Arkansas' starting kicker as a freshman in 2025. He was one of the best in the SEC, making 14 of 18 field goals. Starzyk did not miss from inside 40 yards and was perfect on extra points. Starzyk showed off the leg and made two field goals from 50-plus.
LSU's kicking unit was solid in 2025 -- Ramos left Baton Rouge as LSU's all-time leading scorer. But Starzyk offers more upside.
Kiffin's 2025 Ole Miss squad benefitted from having an elite kicker, which proved to be the difference in the Rebels' Sugar Bowl win over Georgia.
