LSU football quarterback Michael Van Buren is entering the transfer portal, leaving Lane Kiffin and the Tigers with zero scholarship QBs left on the roster.
The move is not a shock. Van Buren was given a chance to be LSU's starter over the final four games of the regular season, but struggled. Van Buren will be one and done for the Tigers, spending just one season with the Tigers after transferring last offseason.

Van Buren spent 2024 at Mississippi State, where he made several starts as a true freshman.
Van Buren transferred to LSU with the idea of sitting behind Garrett Nussmeier for a year before competing for a starting job. That did not go to plan as LSU's offense took a nose dive and head coach Brian Kelly was let go along with the entire offensive staff.
Van Buren's decision was reported by On3's Hayes Fawcett.
As Kiffin and LSU began to look for top-ranked transfer quarterbacks, it became clear Van Buren wasn't a major part of LSU's future. Van Buren will now look for his third team in three years and hope for a chance to compete for a starting job.
