With the 2025 Texas Football season in the books, the Longhorns are shifting their focus to building a championship roster for the 2026 campaign. One area they will have to address is the offensive line. On Saturday, Nate Kibble became the latest player to enter the portal.
During his time as a Longhorn, the Texas native appeared in three games. While he arrived on campus with high expectations, Kibble was unable to carve out a starting role on an offensive line that dealt with inconsistency. With three years of eligibility, he will be looking to join a program where he will see an increase in playing time at his natural position.
Before joining the Longhorns, Kibble drew interest from programs nationwide. The former four-star recruit received offers from Houston, LSU, Louisiana, Nebraska, Oregon, Memphis, TCU, Texas State, and UTSA. He was ranked as the No. 458 player nationally and the No. 32 interior offensive lineman by 247Sports.

Over the last few days, Texas has seen a few players decide that playing at a different school this coming fall would be a better fit. That list includes wide receiver Parker Livingstone, offensive lineman Neto Umeozulu, and cornerback Caleb Chester. While losing that group will test the Longhorns' depth, they will welcome one of the best recruiting classes in the nation to campus for the 2026 season.
Due to the interest Kibble drew coming out of high school, he should be able to land with a competitive program. He still has room to develop but there will be plenty of time to improve his game. If Kibble can make the most out of his next opportunity, he could become a very solid player.
