Ahead of its Sunday season finale at the Chicago Bears (11-5), the Detroit Lions (8-8) made several Saturday roster announcements.
Detroit announced that second-year pro offensive tackle Giovanni Manu was not activated from the Reserve/Injured list and that his game status had been downgraded to out. Manu, a fourth-round selection by the Lions in the 2024 NFL draft, played in four games this season and started at left tackle in a Week 5 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

The 6-foot-7, 350-pound tackle was designated to return from injured reserve on Dec. 18, but he was never activated from injured reserve after suffering a knee injury that has sidelined him since mid-October.
Detroit also officially announced that it had placed offensive lineman Trystan Colon on injured reserve. Colon had already been ruled out of the Lions' finale at the Bears with a wrist injury.
The Lions elevated tight end Zach Horton and veteran offensive lineman Chris Hubbard. It's the second elevation of the season for Horton, who played 14 total snaps in Week 13 versus Green Bay.
Hubbard is in his first season with the Lions. The 6-foot-4, 285-pound lineman has previously appeared in 102 games and started 61 across 10 NFL seasons with the Steelers, Browns, Titans and Giants. Hubbard appeared in eight games and started three with the Giants at tackle in 2024.
