The San Francisco 49ers played the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday night at Levi's Stadium, and Kyle Shanahan's team was handed a 13-3 loss, which could drop them down to the sixth seed in the playoffs.
Throughout the division showdown, the 49ers had a few players go down with injuries, and after the game, Shanahan provided some updates when speaking with the media.

Shanahan shared that linebacker Dee Winters had an ankle injury and linebacker Tatum Bethune had a groin injury. Neither returned to the game. He said quarterback Brock Purdy got a stinger during the team's last offensive play when he was crushed between two Seahawks. Purdy apparently would've returned if they had another offensive play.
Linebacker Luke Gifford also suffered a quad injury and did return to the field.
When asked if any of the injuries could bleed into the wild-card round of the postseason, Shanahan didn't have full clarity, but it didn't sound great for a couple of 49ers.
"Possibly for Tatum and Dee," Shanahan said. "I'm not sure about Luke. They said Purdy would've come back in. He checked out all right, but that's what we have right now."

That's pretty good news about Purdy, but San Francisco is already thin at linebacker, so continuing without Bethune and Winters next week would be tough. The 49ers already have Fred Warner and Nick Martin on injured reserve, and Curtis Robinson missed Saturday's game with an injury.
Shanahan also said offensive tackle Trent Williams and wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, who didn't play on Saturday, were pushing to play, but they didn't feel it was smart to put them out there. That points to those two returning for the playoffs.
