The Nebraska Cornhuskers appear to have suffered a stunning transfer portal departure. A new report from On3's Pete Nakos states that the Kentucky Wildcats have flipped quarterback Kenny Minchey just 24 hours after the Notre Dame quarterback committed to Nebraska.
Minchey competed for the Irish's starting quarterback job in 2025 but lost to CJ Carr. He appeared in six games this season and finished 20-of-26 passing for 196 yards and ran for 84 yards and a touchdown.

Nebraska went to the portal for a quarterback after the departure of starting quarterback Dylan Raiola. Minchey has two years of eligibility remaining.
The quarterback was scheduled to visit Lincoln later this week. This is a stunning departure and now forces Matt Rhule and staff back to the transfer portal for a new quarterback.
