Liam Rosenior has three very important skills

Liam Rosenior is reportedly the leading candidate for the job, with Chelsea believed to be in negotiations with Strasbourg to get a deal done.

Chelsea are said to view Rosenior as their “ideal” coach, but it’s a huge step up for the 41-year-old at such an early stage of his career.

Rosenior is expected to become the next Chelsea manager.

Rosenior appeared to say goodbye to Strasbourg after their 1-1 draw with Nice on Saturday, and a tough task awaits him in west London.

“He’s very good at managing up and he’s a very effective communicator. And those are important skills.”

Chelsea need to qualify for the Champions League

When Rosenior does arrive he will be tasked with making sure Chelsea qualify for Champions League football, with the Blues currently fifth in the league.
