The Giants confirmed on Monday morning that Joe Schoen will remain as the team's general manager.

Despite another disappointing campaign that saw the team finish in the basement in the NFC East, owners John Mara and Steve Tisch voiced confidence in Schoen and the direction of the organization in a statement.

"The 2025 season has been greatly disappointing, and the results on the field have not lived up to the standard this organization and the fans expect," they wrote. "As previously stated Joe Schoen will remain our General Manager and continue to lead our football operations and the search for our next head coach. Continuity and stability in the front office is important to our progress.

"We believe in our young core of talent, which we can build around for future success."

Sources have told SNY's Connor Hughes that Schoen has already compiled a list for ownership of coaches that Big Blue should interview for their vacancy.

Hughes notes that agents of coaches who have had preliminary, off-record discussions about the opening in recent weeks came away with that impression that Schoen was safe, and the Giants were never considering a change.

Now, the expected has become a reality.
