Jaguars best and worst PFF grades from Week 18 win vs. Titans

Following the Jacksonville Jaguars' division-clinching win over the Tennessee Titans, let's take a look at which players received the highest grades from Pro Football Focus and which players didn't.

Below is a look at PFF's grading system for some context. While this metric is very helpful when it comes to quantifying a player's performance, PFF's grading system isn't the be-all and end-all either. It is one metric out of many that are out there.

  • 90.0+: Elite

  • 80-89.9: High quality

  • 70-79.9: Good

  • 60-69.9: Above average

  • 50-59.9: Average

  • 40-49.9: Below average

  • 39.9 or less: Poor

Here are the Jaguars' five highest-graded players on offense and defense, along with the three lowest-graded players overall.

Jaguars' five highest-graded players vs. Titans in Week 18

  • TE Brenton Strange: 87.5

  • WR Parker Washington: 85.0

  • QB Trevor Lawrence: 82.6

  • WR Brian Thomas Jr.: 70.4

  • TE Johnny Mundt: 67.9

Lawrence was again outstanding, especially when facing the blitz or under pressure. Washington, Thomas Jr, and Strange were the top three on the team in receiving yards, with Strange also grading out well as a run-blocker. Mundt had one catch for 16 yards and an overall positive blocking grade.

Jaguars' five highest-graded players on defense vs. Titans in Week 18

  • CB Jarrian Jones: 87.3

  • S Antonio Johnson: 86.3

  • DE Josh Hines-Allen: 84.5

  • LB Foye Oluokun: 84.0

  • DT DaVon Hamilton: 74.8

Hines-Allen recorded a whopping nine quarterback pressures. Hamilton didn't fill up the stat sheet, but his presence was again crucial to the Jaguars' success against the run.

Oluokun led the team in tackles and gave up just one reception for six yards. Johnson had a pick-six, and both he and Jones were stingy in coverage, surrendering almost nothing through the air.

Jaguars' three lowest-graded players vs. Titans in Week 18

  • S Andrew Wingard: 43.8

  • CB Christian Braswell: 44.5

  • S Eric Murray: 49.0

Two missed tackles brought down Wingard's grade. Murray had a missed tackle as well. All three players held up well in coverage. Combined, this trio allowed three catches for 36 yards. Overall, it was a clean day across the board for the Jaguars.
