It's time to take Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics seriously as NBA title contenders. Or at least that is the point of view of the eponymous host of the "Hoops Tonight with Jason Timpf" on a recent episode of his show. Timpf reacted to the historic 50-point outing by Brown and the damage the Georgia native did to the Los Angeles Clippers' game plans in the Clips' 146-115 drubbing by Boston on both ends of the court with Brown taking on a red-hot Kawhi Leonard (holding him to just 16 points) on defense as well.

The "Hoops Tonight" host also touched on why he thinks the Celtics will be a bona fide contender this season, especially when star Boston forward Jayson Tatum returns to the court from his Achilles injury.
