The Philadelphia 76ers will look to extend their current winning steak to three games when they travel to New York to take on the Knicks on Saturday night.

It will be the second matchup of the season between the two teams, as the Sixers bested the Knicks, 116-107, back in December. Sixers star center Joel Embiid didn’t play in the game, but it looks like it will be a different story this time around.

Embiid is listed as “probable” on the official injury report for the game, indicating that he should be go to go for the contest, barring any last-minute setbacks.

Embiid has played in four out of the last five games for Philadelphia, and he played over 30 minutes in each of those contests. Following Philadelphia’s recent 123-108 win over the Dallas Mavericks, the big man provided an encouraging update involving his health.

“I feel like I’m getting back to myself,” Embiid said. “Physically, I think where I feel it the most is defensively. I’m getting back to that level of just moving my feet, blocking shots and being that defensive presence.”

On the season, Embiid has appeared in 15 games for Philadelphia and posted averages of 22.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.3 blocks per performance.
