The Chicago Bears are gearing up for a divisional showdown against the Detroit Lions, where the No. 2 seed and revenge is on the line for Chicago. And there are some notable injuries heading into Week 18, including wide receiver Rome Odunze.
Odunze has missed the last few weeks with a foot injury, but the Bears offense has still managed to find success in the passing game between DJ Moore and rookie Luther Burden III, as well as rookie tight end Colston Loveland. But that doesn't mean they don't miss their No. 1 receiver in Odunze, who has become a favorite target for quarterback Caleb Williams.

Odunze remains on the injury report, putting his status for Sunday's game in question. What's the latest on Odunze? Will he get some game action in Week 18 to warm up for the playoffs? Here's the latest:
Rome Odunze injury update
Odunze has been dealing with a lingering foot injury this season, and it's sidelined him for the last four games. While Odunze was poised to make his return back in Week 15 against the Browns, he reaggravated his foot injury in warmups and has been sidelined ever since. The good news is Odunze did return to practice on Friday, which is encouraging for his potential return. The hope is Odunze is ready for the playoffs, but it would be beneficial if he gets some reps ahead of the wild-card round so he's not rusty. That is, assuming he's healthy enough to be out there Sunday against the Lions.
Will Rome Odunze play vs. Lions?
Odunze is officially questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions. He didn't practice on Wednesday or Thursday but returned to practice in limited fashion on Friday, which gives him a chance to suit up for the first time in four games. Odunze told reporters that he wants to play, but "I'm following their plan." Odunze said his status is still "up in the air" but noted he "felt pretty good" out on the practice field Friday.

Bears wide receiver depth
Thankfully, the Bears have a deep wide receiver group behind Odunze, starting with veteran DJ Moore, who's become more involved in offense in the last few weeks. With Odunze sidelined, rookie Luther Burden III has had a breakout campaign, including in Sunday night's shootout loss to the 49ers. If Odunze misses his fifth game, it will be Moore, Burden, Olamide Zaccheaus and undrafted rookie Jahdae Walker getting the workload.
