Inter Milan have agreed a new loan move for Valentin Carboni, who is set to restart his career with Racing Club, where club legend Diego Milito is president.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Carboni will join the Argentine side on a one-year loan deal without an option to buy, returning to his home country after an unconvincing spell in Genoa.

Racing are led by Inter legend Diego Milito, now club president, a factor that played a key role in the negotiations.

Inter had hoped the 2005-born playmaker would relaunch himself at Genoa following almost a year out with a serious injury.

However, Carboni struggled to find continuity, prompting the Nerazzurri to seek a new solution focused on regular minutes and confidence.

The player opted to return to Argentina despite interest from Serie A sides such as Cagliari and Lecce, believing Racing offered the best environment to rebuild form and momentum.

For Inter, the move is about development rather than separation.
