The Indianapolis Colts fought hard but dropped their regular-season finale against the Houston Texans.
The Colts finished the 2025 season at 8-9 and on a seven-game losing streak.
Before we look ahead to the offseason, let's take a look back at the Colts' performance against the Texans.

- Overall, you can't ask for much more from Riley Leonard. Shane Steichen got him on the move in some instances, and he was able to generate a few explosive passing plays. Leonard was mostly efficient and helped the Colts' offense move the ball.
- Once again, there was no running game for the Colts to lean on. This has been an issue for much of the second half of the season.
- Alec Pierce is going to get a big payday this offseason, and the Colts need to be the ones to do that and bring him back.
- The Colts' run defense was again able to slow the opponent's ground game. They've done well against the run this season. There was very little pass rush production, however.

- Too many penalties from this Colts team. Overcoming penalties makes winning games even more difficult.
- Despite not having much of a run game, the Colts' offense under Leonard was very efficient on third downs.
- However, the Colts' offense was just 2-for-4 in the red zone. Those missed opportunities were a difference in this game.
- Blake Grupe was again perfect. He's been quite good since the Colts signed him.
