Inland Lakes football's Bradford, Hanel earn MHSFCA all-state honors

INDIAN RIVER – The 2025 Inland Lakes football team saw a pair of its stars recently earn nods on the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA) 8-Player Division 1 all-state team.

Those players were seniors Andre Bradford and Wyatt Hanel, who helped lift the Bulldogs (9-1) to a second consecutive unbeaten regular season and a fifth straight Ski Valley title.

Bradford, the Daily Tribune’s 2025 8-player football player of the year, made the MHSFCA all-state team as an athlete. During his final season at Inland Lakes, Bradford rushed for 1,148 yards and 19 touchdowns and tallied 320 receiving yards and four scores, while also leading the Bulldogs with five interceptions and making 31 tackles defensively. Bradford also made the Ski Valley’s overall player of the year. He will continue his football career at Alma College next season.

Earning all-state at defensive back was Hanel, who intercepted four passes and made 31 tackles. Hanel’s elite defensive play was also recognized on the Ski Valley’s all-conference team and all-area team.

Bradford and Hanel were two of five Bulldogs to secure spots on the MHSFCA 8-Player Division 1 all-region team, while teammates Avery Enos (offensive lineman), Ty Kolly (quarterback) and Landon Fenstermaker (linebacker) joined them as well.

Picking up a nod on the MHSFCA all-region squad for Division 5 was Cheboygan junior Nolan Schley, who made the team as a skill player.
