Indiana has added strong transfers at tight end in each of its past two offseasons. Monday’s news makes that three.
Brock Schott, a freshman tight end formerly of Miami, has committed to join the Hoosiers out of the transfer portal, per Hayes Fawcett of On3/Rivals. He’s rated as a 3-star prospect ranked as the 12th highest-rated tight end and 200th highest-rated prospect overall. He was previously a 4-star prospect in high school, having attended Leo Junior/Senior High School in Leo-Cedarville, Indiana.

Schott has spent the past season with the Hurricanes after committing there as a member of the high school class of 2024. Like Riley Nowakowski before him, he played multiple different positions at the high school level and showed promise at each spot. Schott’s lack of production at Miami shouldn’t be bothersome since the Hurricanes had some more established tight ends ahead of him, it wouldn’t be unfair to view him as a high school prospect with a year of college strength training.
