Florida basketball opens SEC action on the road against Missouri on Saturday, Jan. 3.

UF and Missouri split their two meetings last season, with the Tigers handing the Gators their only home loss. However, Florida opened its postseason run last season with a win against the Tigers in the SEC tournament.

Missouri (10-3) enters the matchup having lost three of its last five games. The Tigers most recently suffered a 91-48 loss to Illinois to close out non-conference play, with Mizzou missing Jevon Porter, Trent Pierce and Jayden Stone.

Leading Missouri this season has been Mark Mitchell, who averages 17.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.

UF (9-4) comes off a 94-72 victory over Dartmouth on Dec. 29 to extend its win streak to four in a row. Florida's plus-17.2 rebounding margin, 17.3 offensive rebounds per game and 47.5 rebounds per game all lead the nation, while the Gators rank second in offensive rebounding percentage at 44.7%.

“It was good to get a game under our belt vs. Dartmouth and have close to a week to prepare for Missouri,” Florida coach Todd Golden said. “I think it's going to be a really big challenge. You know, some question marks for (Missouri) in terms of who's going to be available, but I think we can expect to see some guys back that haven't played for a while. That changes the preparation a little bit, but we're excited to get on the road and get the SEC started."
