Since he celebrated his birthday on Tuesday, Dec. 30, James has been on something of a tear for the Los Angeles Lakers, who have suddenly won three consecutive and four of their last five.

During a game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday, Jan. 2, James set the NBA record for most points scored in a single game by a player 41 or older when he dropped 31. Two days later, he scored 26 points, which then gave him the second-most points in NBA history by a player 41 or older, since the previous mark was 25, then held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

It looks like James is just going to dominate the record book for 41-year-old players because on Tuesday, Jan. 6 — a 111-103 victory against the New Orleans Pelicans — James again surpassed Abdul-Jabbar’s point total, which now gives him the first-, second- and third-most points scored after turning 41. It was only James’ fourth game since his birthday.
