It was a scoring frenzy at the Breslin Center on Monday night, and luckily, it was the Spartans who ended the evening with the most points on the scoreboard.
Michigan State basketball was able to fend off an upset bid from Cornell, dominating in the second half to win by the final score of 114-97. The Spartans trailed for most of the first half, but used a strong finish to the half and then dominant start to the second half to pull away for the comfortable victory.

Six different Spartans reached double-digits in the victory, with Jeremy Fears Jr. leading the way with 21 points. He also dished out 11 assists for a double-double. Coen Carr was also especially impressive, finishing the evening with 19 points.
With the victory, Michigan State improves to 12-1 overall on the year. This was their final regular season non-conference game, and will shift back to Big Ten play, starting with a matchup at undefeated No. 13 Nebraska on Friday.
