🏀BOYS BASKETBALL — Division I/II

Exeter-West Greenwich 83, Middletown 59

The Division III Scarlet Knights used a consistent and balanced offense to outlast the Islanders. After trading baskets through the first quarter, the EWG defense stepped up to keep the Middletown scorers in check the through the second and third quarters.

For Exeter-West Greenwich, Matt Chartier scored a game-high 24 points, leading five players in double-figures. Teammates Dylan Main (16), BruceSampson (13), Stanley Berek (10) and Brody Simoes (10) added to the victory.

Ryan Johnson led the Division II Islanders with 20 points and Travin Martinez added 10 in the loss.

🏀BOYS BASKETBALL — Division II

Chariho 83, Juanita Sanchez 77 (Double OT)

Brendan Gleason led the Chargers with 21 points and was followed closely by teammates Evander Perez and Riley Conroy with 19 points each.

Geston Richardson put on a heroic effort for the Cavaliers with 35 points, 14 rebounds and 6 steals in the loss.

🏀BOYS BASKETBALL — Division III

Davies 58, Times2 49

Aidan Kearns and Ephraim Jean-Baptiste were the high scorers in this game as they led the Patriots to the victory on their home court. Jomar Lopes helped out with 11 points and Albert Medrano finished with 10.

For the Eagles, Lucas Cruz led the scoring with 15 points, while three players, Sekou Kaba, Jayden Navarrete and Justin Urey, had 10 points each.

Toll Gate 59, Central Falls 36

The Titans were led to the victory by a couple of double-double performances  — by Damola Oremosu, who scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and by Jake Andersen, who contributed 12 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Aidan Tourangeau finished with 12 points.For the Warriors, three players — Iryan AubertRafael Borges and Terrell Ciprian — scored 6 points each.

🏀GIRLS BASKETBALL — Division I

Classical 39, Chariho 35

The Chargers took an early lead as the Purple struggled to score in the opening quarter, but Classical turned the tables in the second quarter to take an 18-14 lead at the break. Daniella Jimenez led the Purple with 19 points and 12 of those were scored in the second half.

Menuhki Harris nearly completed Chariho's comeback, scoring 9 of her team-high 11 points in the fourth frame. But the Chargers fell just short in the end.

East Providence 48, La Salle 39

Zarae Hall scored a team-high 16 points, pulled down 7 rebounds, had 2 steals and added 3 assists to help the Townies knock off La Salle in the Division I battle. Also factoring in the win were Trinity Provencher (9 points, 10 rebounds), Audrey Bernard (7 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks), Nadiyah Calouro-Vargas (9 points, 4 steals, 2 assists) and Jordin Peckham (4 points, 6 steals, 4 rebounds).

Valentina Micheletti and Elle Kershaw led the Rams in scoring with 11 and 8 points, respectively.

Cranston West 43, West Warwick 24

Senior Kyla Buco scored nearly a third of the Falcons’ point in this contest with 14. Teammates Maggie Sjovall, a sophomore, and senior Talya Walker contributed 9 points each. Sjovall also pulled down 6 rebounds.For the Wizards, junior captain Alexa Foley was the high scorer with 10 points while fellow junior captain Kylie Lavallee and freshman Rylie Gatta finished with 7 points each.

🏀GIRLS BASKETBALL — Division II

St. Raphael 60, Juanita Sanchez 42

Three Saints reached double digits in scoring in their win over the Cavaliers. Carolyn Abreau led the way with 13 points and teammates Keniamarie Oyola and Jocelyn Taylor had 10 points each. Also contributing to the win were Leilani Delgado and Zemirah Patray with 9 points apiece.

For Juanita Sanchez, Anayjah Delves had a game-high 21 points, 18 of those coming in the second half, and Breanna Marcotte chipped in with 11 more.

Lincoln School 57, Rogers 48

Lynx senior captain Sarah Berube led all scorers with 21 points. Six of those were scored at the foul line. Others contributing to the Lincoln School victory were Reign Whiteing, another captain, with 14 points and sophomore Alivia Harris with 11.Sophomore Zaida Aponte was the high scorer for the Vikings with 13 points. Sophomore Abby Hole contributed 12 points while Lila Leys, also a sophomore, finished with 10 and senior Tameka Robertson scored 9 points.

🏀GIRLS BASKETBALL — Division III

Pilgrim 46, Burrillville 17

Madison Belanger scored a a game-high 13 points, 11 of them in the first half, and teammate Natalie Fratus added 9 as the Patriots rolled over the Broncos. Pilgrim's defense held Burrillville to only 2 points in each of the first, second and fourth quarters.

Only 3 Broncos got on the scoreboard with Mackenzie Stone leading the way with 10.

Central 46, Middletown 30

Keeana Palmer's solid performance (18 points, 3 blocks, 5 steals, 7 assists and 8 rebounds) helped pave the way for the Lady Knights' win over the Islanders. Eveisha Santana also figured in the victory with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and sophomore Anaya Rios Rodriguez scored 8 points with 2 treys and turned in a solid effort on defense. Central improved to 5-1 on the year.

Senior Lamaya Gonsolves had 15 points with 5 rebounds and 3 steals for Middletown in the loss.

Achievement First 32, Times2 28

The Falcons' offense found its groove in the second half, scoring 20 points to earn the win. Silvy Mustafa paced AF with 11 points and Nyasia Cruz added 8 in the victory.

After a quiet third quarter, Times2 scored 13 points in the final frame, but fell just short. Hadiya Jenkins paced Times2 by scoring a game-high 18 points in the loss.
