Hammond adds 28 in Brookfield’s victory over Garfield

BROOKFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – Blake Hammond paced Brookfield with 28 points and six steals as the Warriors topped Garfield, 84-53.

Brody Smith finished with a double-double (10 points, 11 rebounds) as Bray Coleman finished in double-figures as well (10 points).

The Warriors have won back-to-back games since suffering through successive losses in the middle of December.

Brookfield (4-2) will visit Berkshire on Saturday.

The G-Men had won two in a row before falling to Brookfield on Friday.

Garfield featured three players who scored double-digits: Parker Gill (16), Oliver Walker (14) and Devin Bates (12).

Next up for Garfield (4-3) will be a home matchup against LaBrae on Tuesday.
