Former Vanderbilt football quarterback Jay Cutler attended the FCS national championship game at the Commodores' FirstBank Stadium on Jan. 5.
Cutler was shown on the Vanderbilt video boards in a box seat before kickoff between Montana State and Illinois State.

Cutler became Vanderbilt's all-time leading passer during his time with the Commodores (2001-05). He was the SEC offensive player of the year as a senior.
He was selected in the first round (11th player overall) in the 2006 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos. He was traded to the Chicago Bears in 2009 where he played through 2016 before finishing his career with the Miami Dolphins in 2017.
Cutler made the All-Pro team in 2008. He passed for 35,133 career yards and 227 touchdowns in the NFL.
