The first former Nittany Lion is off to Blacksburg, Virginia. Freshman defensive end Daniel Jennings officially transferred to Virginia Tech after his first season with Penn State.
Jennings, similarly to returning defensive end Max Granville, reclassified to the Class of 2025 to join Penn State early. He did not see much time, if any, in his first year, trapped behind the likes of Dani Dennis-Sutton, Zuriah Fisher, Jaylen Harvey, and the freshmen duo of Chaz Coleman and Yvan Kemajou.

He maintained his redshirt, meaning he will have four years of eligibility left with the Hokies.
Jennings was a four-star recruit, ranked as the No. 397 player in the country, the No. 36 edge rusher, and the top player in West Virginia. He was recruited under Franklin, following his former coach to Virginia Tech.
He is the first of an expected multiple players to transfer to Virginia Tech to follow their former coach.
